The Residential Driver is the face of our waste removal services, dedicated to safely and efficiently collecting solid waste and recyclables for our community. This role is essential to maintaining clean neighborhoods and ensuring the smooth operation of our collection routes. You will be responsible for operating side-load and rear-load trucks, managing equipment, and interacting courteously with customers throughout your shift.
Your day begins with a thorough pre-trip safety inspection of the vehicle and equipment. Once on the route, you will navigate residential areas to collect waste and recyclables from curbside and backdoor locations, carefully identifying and removing prohibited items. The role requires constant maneuvering of heavy machinery in tight spaces and varying traffic conditions, often in outdoor environments exposed to diverse weather elements. You will maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, manage assigned helpers if applicable, and ensure all documentation and route sheets are completed accurately. Throughout the day, you will uphold the highest safety standards, communicate any mechanical issues immediately, and represent our company with a professional demeanor.
