About the Role
The Residential Driver is the face of our waste removal services, dedicated to safely and efficiently collecting solid waste and recyclables for our customers. This role is essential to maintaining community cleanliness and ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics network. You will be responsible for navigating curbside and backdoor routes, operating side-load or rear-load collection trucks, and managing the transport of waste to post-collection facilities.
Your day involves more than just driving; it requires a commitment to safety, equipment maintenance, and professional customer interaction. You will work closely with supervisors to improve routing efficiencies and may manage assigned helpers. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to adapt to changing weather conditions, as you will be working outdoors in various environments, from extreme heat to stormy weather.
