About the Role

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Your day will involve a mix of driving and ground operations. You will perform pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip safety inspections, hook and unhook trailers, and secure freight using appropriate tools like straps and pallets. The role requires handling freight with motorized and manual equipment, verifying documentation, and complying with hazardous material regulations.
Customer interaction is a key component; you will communicate with clients to determine pick-up or delivery needs, provide leads for new business, and demonstrate strong internal and external customer service. Additionally, you may be required to chain vehicle tires and perform duties of a road driver or freight handler depending on operational needs.
Working Conditions
You will drive day and night on all types of roads in various weather conditions. The environment includes exposure to noise, vibration, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials. Hours may vary to meet operational demands, and the role requires the physical ability to lift, bend, squat, and climb in and out of trucks.
