About the Role
The Directional Driller is the backbone of our underground infrastructure projects, operating horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment to install fiber optic and conduit systems safely and efficiently. This role is critical for connecting communities to high-speed internet, requiring hands-on expertise in drilling operations, meticulous attention to detail, and an unwavering focus on safety and precision.\n You will be part of a team-driven environment where collaboration with locators, crew members, and project managers ensures every job is completed accurately. The day-to-day involves planning bore paths, executing pilot drilling and reaming operations, and maintaining equipment in the field. This is a dynamic, physical role that offers the opportunity to gain valuable skills in a rapidly growing industry while working outdoors in varying conditions.

- check_circlePerform daily equipment inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs as needed
- check_circleTravel to various project sites and accommodate overnight stays as required
- check_circleEnsure all work complies with safety standards, local regulations, and company procedures
Requirements
- verifiedValid driver's license and clean driving record
- verifiedCDL Class A (or willingness to obtain)
- verifiedOSHA 10/30, First Aid, CPR certifications (preferred)
- verifiedExperience operating directional drilling equipment
- verifiedExperience in fiber optic, telecommunications, or utility construction
Nice to Have
CDL Class A (or willingness to obtain). Experience in fiber optic, telecommunications, or utility construction. Knowledge of drilling fluids, ground conditions, and bore path calculations. Safety certifications (OSHA 10/30, First Aid, CPR).
