The Directional Drill Operator is a pivotal role in our field operations, responsible for operating horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment to install underground telecommunications conduit, fiber optic cable pathways, and other utility infrastructure. This position exists to ensure the precise and safe deployment of critical network pathways that connect communities.
In this fast-paced construction environment, you will work closely with crew members, locators, and supervisors to guide the drill head and maintain proper bore paths. The role demands a strong focus on safety, precision, and teamwork as you navigate complex underground utility landscapes. You will be the expert on the ground, interpreting bore plans and ensuring that every installation meets our high standards for operational excellence.
This is an outdoor construction role that requires adaptability to varying weather conditions. You will be working near heavy equipment and active construction sites, performing physical labor that includes lifting, bending, and kneeling. Depending on project locations, travel may be required to support our service providers across different regions.
