CHI Health Clinic and Creighton University School of Medicine are recruiting a Division Chief of Maternal Fetal Medicine to join a vibrant program dedicated to expanding clinical enterprise, research, and educational activities. As part of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Creighton University Medical Center (CUMC), the team includes academic generalists and sub-specialists in maternal fetal medicine and urogynecology. The department works closely with advanced practice providers, neonatology, anesthesiology, nursing, and ancillary staff to deliver comprehensive care.
The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at CUMC operates as a consult-based practice providing services for all aspects of high-risk pregnancies. The division is fully staffed with a seasoned group of certified sonographers, two dedicated genetic counselors, and an integrated fetal center. The ultrasound unit features five E10 machines with Viewpoint software fully integrated into the Epic EMR. Currently a cohesive team of two MFM physicians, the division is actively recruiting a third and fourth physician to support its growth.

CUMC serves as a Perinatal Center within the Nebraska Perinatal Network, supporting over 2,500 deliveries annually. The department has maintained its reputation as an outstanding Level III perinatal referral center for over 20 years and has previously supported the role of perinatal network director through its Maternal Fetal Medicine division.
We seek a Division Chief who has a demonstrated commitment to steady, innovative clinical practice growth, education, and science. This role is designed for a leader in the field who will assume a leadership position with the opportunity to fill an endowed chair, ideally with a research interest in birth equity or other research interests. The successful candidate will lead a diverse group, work collaboratively with hospital partners, and possess exceptional leadership, administrative, and organizational skills.
The newly developed division aims to create a strong focus on research and education, moving toward an integrated, multidisciplinary, value-based approach to high-risk obstetric care. Future goals for the division include establishing an ACGME-approved fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine and growing a robust research sector. The Division Chief will be actively involved in medical student and resident educational activities and will have the opportunity to take on divisional, departmental, and institutional leadership positions.
Candidates will have a faculty appointment commensurate with experience at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level. This is a full-time position based at Creighton University Medical Center's main campus in Omaha, NE.
