About the Team
Albany Medical College is the centerpiece of medicine, research, and medical education in New York's Capital Region. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology comprises five clinical divisions, including General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Family Planning, and Urogynecology. The department supports a robust training program with 24 residents and 3 MFM fellows.
The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine operates within a collaborative academic environment, serving a diverse patient population with complex needs. The division performs advanced procedures such as fetal echocardiography, amniocentesis, and chorionic villus sampling. The team benefits from being part of the only Level IV NICU in the region, which is home to the only children's hospital and Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma centers in the area.
Albany Medical Center, along with Columbia Memorial Health, Glens Falls Hospital, Saratoga Hospital, and the Visiting Nurses, forms the Albany Med Health System, serving more than three million people across 25 counties.
About the Role
We are seeking a full-time faculty member to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-level care to patients across the Capital District while engaging in scholarly activities with opportunities for regional and national presentations.
You will practice within the Albany Med Faculty Physician Group and its affiliated inpatient facilities. The position involves providing maternal fetal medicine services, including high-risk ultrasounds, prenatal consultations, and antepartum care. A significant component of the role is teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and MFM fellows, contributing to the academic excellence of the department.
