Albany Medical College is the centerpiece of medicine, research, and medical education in New York's Capital Region. As the area's largest private employer with over 10,000 staff, the institution anchors the state's historic capital city. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology comprises five clinical divisions, including General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Family Planning, and Urogynecology. The department supports a robust training program with 24 residents and 3 MFM fellows.

The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine operates within a collaborative academic environment, serving a diverse patient population with complex needs. The team performs advanced procedures such as fetal echocardiography, amniocentesis, and chorionic villus sampling. This division is uniquely positioned as the only provider of Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) services in the region, alongside the area's only Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma centers and children's hospital.

Albany Medical Center, along with Columbia Memorial Health, Glens Falls Hospital, Saratoga Hospital, and the Visiting Nurses, forms the Albany Med Health System, serving more than three million people across 25 counties.

About the Role

We are seeking a full-time faculty member to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-level care to patients across the Capital District while engaging in a respected academic medical center with a strong commitment to education and research.

As a member of the Albany Med Faculty Physician Group and its affiliated inpatient facilities, you will provide comprehensive maternal fetal medicine services, including high-risk ultrasounds, prenatal consultations, and antepartum care. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and MFM fellows. You will also participate in scholarly activities, with ample opportunities for regional and national presentations and publications.
