About the Team
Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time faculty member to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, specifically the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM). This division is part of a respected academic medical center that serves as the centerpiece of medicine, research, and medical education in New York's Capital Region. The department supports a robust training program with 24 residents and 3 MFM fellows, fostering a collaborative environment dedicated to education and research excellence.
The Division of MFM performs advanced procedures including fetal echocardiography, amniocentesis, and chorionic villus sampling. The team serves a diverse patient population with complex maternal-fetal needs, operating within the only Level IV NICU in the region. This role offers the unique opportunity to practice within the Albany Med Faculty Physician Group and its affiliated inpatient facilities, contributing to a system that serves more than three million people across 25 counties.
About the Role
This position is designed for a physician committed to high-level care and academic excellence. You will provide comprehensive maternal fetal medicine services, including high-risk ultrasounds, prenatal consultations, and antepartum care. Beyond clinical duties, the role involves teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and MFM fellows. There are significant opportunities to participate in scholarly activities, with support for regional and national presentations and publications.
