We are seeking a Distinguished Engineer to report into the Cloud Business Unit SVP & GM. This is a technical leadership role focused on building and scaling NetApp architecture and experience across Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, where NetApp storage is first-party integrated.
In this position, you will tackle real-world challenges and collaborate with passionate teams to drive innovation and engineering excellence. You will work on the most complex engineering problems regarding service fundamentals (availability, reliability, performance, and scalability), developer velocity, and designing fault-tolerant, highly available, and low-latency control plane architectures.
Distinguished Engineers at NetApp are hands-on practitioners, not consultants. You are expected to devote 40% or more of your time to producing artifacts such as vision statements, design documents, and source code. You will serve as a role model for the NetApp technical community, fostering a culture of learning and experimentation while helping to balance conflicting stakeholder objectives with empathy for customer needs.
