About the Role
The Director of Leased Housing & Rental Services is a key leadership role within the Leased Housing Department. This position advances housing opportunities across a wide range of household incomes and needs, overseeing asset management and compliance for RIHousing's multifamily lending portfolio while administering federal and state rental production and subsidy programs.
As a hybrid leader based in Providence, Rhode Island, you will be an integral part of the Leased Housing team. This role is designed for face-to-face collaboration and direct involvement in our office environment, though future hybrid work may be available if eligible. You will partner closely with senior leadership, including the executive director and deputy director, on policy development, financial and strategic planning, and legislative advocacy.
In this capacity, you will provide oversight, direction, and control to ensure the proper administration of federal, state, and agency programs serving tenants in housing financed or overseen by RIHousing. You will manage major program resources, including federal appropriations exceeding $200M annually and asset management of a $950M multifamily lending portfolio, exercising independent judgment in directing a highly regulated division with complex operational demands.
