Based at the Farm Bureau Center in Lansing, Michigan, our Claims team is dedicated to delivering prompt, efficient, and consistent handling of personal and commercial property claims. As the Director of Property Claims, you will drive performance for the entire property team. This role is responsible for the final determination and interpretation of policy coverages, ensuring all claims are handled according to company policies and procedures. You will champion corporate objectives by communicating written guidelines to staff and management, while also providing direction, leadership, and technical services for the department.
You will oversee the implementation of tools and emerging technologies, focusing on innovation and the simplification of business processes. A key part of your day involves training and assisting others to evaluate, adjust, and supervise property claims, including verifying policies, authorizing bills, and settling claims within approved limits. You will also lead assigned division and corporate projects that support strategic goals.
