The Director of Clinical Education (DCE) serves as the primary liaison between the College, the Program Director, and affiliated clinical education sites for the Respiratory Care program. This leadership position is dedicated to ensuring the quality, consistency, and accreditation compliance of all clinical learning experiences. The DCE works to foster an environment where students can thrive through coordinated instruction that aligns with curriculum objectives and CoARC accreditation standards.
Reporting directly to the Program Director, the DCE holds a faculty appointment and is expected to teach up to nine credits per semester. Beyond teaching, the role involves a dynamic day-to-day rhythm of site visits, student evaluations, and strategic planning to maintain an adequate variety of clinical sites that support diverse patient populations and care settings. The position requires a professional who can balance administrative oversight with hands-on mentoring, ensuring that students, clinical instructors, and site administrators are supported throughout the educational journey.
