About the Role

This On-Call (PRN) position supports our Afternoons/Evenings shift in Azalea Park, FL. As a Direct Support Professional, you will be the backbone of our residential programs, providing essential care and companionship to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your role is to foster growth and independence by assisting with daily activities, from personal care and medication administration to community integration and socialization.

You will work within a single program or unit, typically supporting 4 to 6 individuals in residential settings. Your day-to-day involves more than just tasks; it is about building trust, respecting individual rights, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. Whether you are preparing meals according to specific dietary needs, accompanying individuals to medical appointments, or simply sharing in recreational activities, your presence helps our community members thrive.

Hiring Process & Application

To join our team, candidates must meet specific state and company requirements, including being at least 18 years old and possessing a valid driver's license in good standing. All new hires are subject to drug testing prior to employment and must successfully complete criminal background checks, including checks against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and the Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI).

Selected candidates will be required to complete all state-mandated training and certifications within the designated timeframes. We also require cooperation with Department of Human Services staff during any inspections or inquiries. Once hired, you will participate in orientation and ongoing training to ensure proficiency in all required areas.
