As a Direct Support Worker, you will be a self-motivated and reliable partner in helping adults with disabilities develop their skills and grow. Whether assigned to a facility, a community setting, or a home-based environment, your focus will be on increasing the participant's options, opportunities, and community integration. You will work to help participants achieve the highest level of independence possible in pursuit of their own definition of a "good life."
We understand that every individual has unique needs. Our skilled staff will provide you with the training you need to feel comfortable and confident in all aspects of the role, ensuring you can support participants effectively while respecting their privacy and confidentiality.
To join our team, candidates must be at least 18 years old with a High School diploma or GED. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice and the Office of Inspector General. Additionally, successful candidates must pass health screenings, obtain necessary vaccinations, clear TB testing, and maintain current First Aid and CPR certification.
Reliable transportation is essential for this position. For roles involving driving, a valid Driver's License, proof of insurance, vehicle registration, and a clean driving record are required. All candidates must be committed to attending all required training and adhering to organizational guidelines.
