As a Residential Specialist, you will be the heart of our daily operations, empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve functional independence and personal growth. You will partner with residents to identify their strengths and participate in meaningful activities that foster resilience and positive coping strategies.
Your day will involve providing attentive supervision and companionship, ensuring a safe and welcoming living space that honors each person's dignity. You will assist with basic care needs, including hygiene and meal preparation, while organizing structured group activities and accompanying residents to community outings, work, and appointments. By implementing individual treatment plans in a trauma-informed way, you will help residents build skills and experience empowerment through choice and collaboration.
