About the Role

This position is a vital part of the maintenance dialysis team at Avera Dialysis in Sioux Falls. Working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will perform essential tasks to support patients with end-stage renal disease. Your role ensures the comprehensive care needed for these complex patients by managing equipment, monitoring treatments, and collaborating with a network of physicians, nurses, and families.

In this role, you will operate and maintain water room equipment, ensuring all testing and documentation are completed accurately. You will be responsible for assembling treatment supplies, priming dialyzers, and setting parameters according to specific prescriptions. Throughout the shift, you will monitor patient vitals and equipment alarms, responding immediately to any adverse reactions or emergencies while coordinating closely with the nursing staff. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a team to maintain a safe, productive, and efficient environment.

Work Schedule & Location

This is a regular position based at our Sioux Falls facility. The schedule primarily covers days with rotating weekends and holidays. The role requires a commitment of 72 hours every two weeks, which includes every other Saturday.
