This position is a vital component of our dialysis team in Sioux Falls, supporting patients with end-stage renal disease. Working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will perform essential tasks to ensure the safe and effective delivery of maintenance dialysis. Your role involves a blend of technical precision and patient care, requiring you to monitor equipment, manage treatment parameters, and observe patients closely for any signs of distress or adverse reactions.
You will be the eyes and ears during treatments, identifying intradialytic comorbidities and responding immediately to equipment alarms or emergencies by seeking assistance from the RN. The role demands a high level of collaboration, as you will work alongside nurses, physicians, patients, and families to coordinate care. You will also manage water room equipment, ensuring proper function and documentation, while assembling and preparing all necessary treatment supplies according to unit procedures.
This is a regular position based at Avera Dialysis-Sioux Falls. The work shift is primarily days, but includes rotating weekends and holidays. The schedule consists of 72 hours over a two-week period, which includes every other Saturday. The role requires the ability to work the specified hours and perform essential functions with adequate visual acuity and communication skills.
