About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleMeasure and record patient vital signs and report abnormal values to providers
- check_circleSchedule new and follow-up patient appointments and coordinate procedures
- check_circleDocument patient information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record
- check_circleStock examination rooms and maintain clinic linens and supplies
- check_circleImplement infection control precautions and ensure patient safety during visits
- check_circleAnswer incoming telephone calls and route them to appropriate staff
- check_circleManage patient and co-worker complaints in a calm and professional manner
- check_circleObtain laboratory results, radiology reports, and outside medical records
- check_circleParticipate in Quality Improvement activities and safety hazard reporting
Requirements
- verifiedHigh School diploma, GED or equivalent or 2 years of appropriate work experience
- verifiedCurrent American Heart Association BLS certification
- verifiedAAMA Certified Medical Assistant certification OR NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certification OR NPCE Certified Medical Assistant certification OR NRCMA certification OR NCCT Certification for Medical Assistants
- verifiedProof of lawful right to work in the United States
Nice to Have
Experience with Quality Improvement activities, including Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) projects and Environment of Care (EOC) rounds.
