About the Role

ACO, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer III to bridge the gap between conceptual sketches and production-ready reality. In this position, you will apply core engineering skills to drive product development and refine process designs. You will serve as a key partner to the Research and Development (R&D) Supervisor, helping to steer the lifecycle of our products from initial idea through to manufacturing.

Your day-to-day involves transforming rough notes and detailed sketches into clear, accurate working plans and detail drawings. You will be responsible for creating 3D CAD models, verifying dimensions and material specifications, and ensuring that every component fits perfectly within the larger structure. Beyond design, you will actively participate in laboratory and production testing to validate products against industry standards, while also contributing to process improvements and quality control initiatives.

Work Environment

This role offers a hybrid environment where you will spend significant time at a computer developing models and drawings, while also engaging with the physical workspace. You will occasionally need to stand, walk, or lift and move items up to 25 pounds to support layout needs for trade shows, office spaces, or plant configurations. The position requires a balance of focused individual work and collaborative problem-solving with cross-functional teams.

Application Instructions

Candidates should submit their resume and a portfolio demonstrating their proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and engineering design. Please ensure your application highlights your experience with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks, as well as your background in interpreting product design layouts and drafting room practices.

Equal Opportunity Employer

ACO, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination and harassment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
