The Electric Motor Design Engineer will serve as a leader in reverse engineering projects for DC and AC motors. This role is critical for evolving our product portfolio by analyzing competitor products, replicating complex winding and magnetic circuits, and driving design improvements. You will bridge the gap between theoretical simulation and physical reality, owning the development of validation methodologies that correlate simulation results with physical test data.
In this position, you will lead the full lifecycle of motor development, from teardown and dimensional analysis to creating detailed CAD models and manufacturing documentation. You will work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and lead programs through production launch. The role requires a deep understanding of electromagnetic theory, thermal management, and mechanical analysis to optimize motor efficiency, torque, and performance under extreme conditions.
