About the Role
The Design Engineer III at ACO, Inc. serves as a vital link between product development and process design. In this position, you will apply core engineering skills to transform rough sketches and notes into clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detail drawings. You will work closely with the Research and Development (R&D) Supervisor to drive various aspects of product development, ensuring that new products meet industry standards and operational needs.
Your day-to-day involves creating 3D CAD models, evaluating production processes, and conducting or arranging laboratory and production testing for products and materials. You will also assist in process improvements, quality control programs, and environmental, health, and safety compliance practices. This role requires a blend of technical precision and creative problem-solving to design and evaluate production processes, including the specification of process equipment and flow.
Work Environment
This role is based in a work environment that requires a balance of computer-based design work and physical presence. You will be continually required to sit and work on a computer, while occasionally standing or walking as needed. The position may require lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. The environment demands adherence to company policies and procedures, with a focus on safety and compliance.
