The Outreach Team is a premier national field firm dedicated to partnering with organizations that solve some of the biggest problems facing our society, from protecting human rights to fighting climate change. We help these partners build the resources they need to make a tangible impact. As a people-powered enterprise, our campaigns are effective because we hire diverse teams of talented people, invest in our staff, and treat them well.
We are hiring a Canvass Director to manage our office in Seattle, WA, and build a team from the ground up. You will recruit, train, and lead a team of local canvassers to have quality, in-depth conversations with residents about committing to support clean energy projects. This role is critical for building community support in King and Kitsap Counties for local clean energy storage projects that keep the lights on, lower energy costs, and help Washington meet its clean energy goals.
As a Canvass Director, you will work in tandem with a local field organizer to manage canvassing staff and Team Leads. You are expected to lead by example, spending several days per week in the field canvassing, training staff, and driving office goals. You will communicate long and short-term goals to your team, manage campaign reporting, and foster a culture of equity and justice where staff feel respected.
This is a summer campaign role beginning June 9th through July 2nd. Seattle needs you to join our team and make a real impact in your community this summer. We have a strong preference for local and in-state candidates.
At The Outreach Team, we prioritize equity and inclusion. We are an equal opportunity employer and strongly encourage Black, indigenous, people of color, women, people with previous felony convictions, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and others who identify with underrepresented groups to apply.
