Amazon Robotics (AR) is located in the greater Boston area, the epicenter of robotics innovation. Our diverse team of engineers comes from all over the world to design, test, and build our dynamic fleet of robots and mechatronic systems. Having our offices, labs, test floors, and factories all co-located allows us to design the hardware, write the code, test, build, and watch it all come to life. This unique setup enables us to innovate quickly on limitless ideas.
Current advancements are underway in autonomous movement and mobility, artificial intelligence and machine learning, manipulation, simulation, robotic management software, and predictive analytics.
The AR Technology Deployment (TD) Strategy and Operations (S&O) team is dedicated to the deployment of new technologies and products in a safe, ergonomic, and efficient manner across new construction and live sites. We partner with upstream and downstream customers to innovate and perform rapid experimentation, accelerating the maturity of complex solutions throughout the product lifecycle to enable simplified execution.
As a Safety Risk Manager, you will take a lead role in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating new products and technologies to ensure compliance with Amazon and industry safety policies. Your mission is to provide a safe and secure workplace for employees and partners while driving proactive identification of potential safety hazards.
In this role, you will be hands-on with product and deployment teams, promoting safety awareness and education across sites and labs. You will partner with Site WHS, GESS, and other affected teams to report and investigate incidents or near misses, ensuring proper documentation and closure. You will also pull teams together as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to conduct Root Cause Analyses in conjunction with Operations leadership.
A day in your life involves performing site physical condition safety observations, associate safety behavior observations, and audits related to fire and safety equipment. You will work across Amazon teams to perform work task risk assessments and develop safety standard work alongside engineers, designers, and associates. In the event of issues or escalations, you will investigate and report on situations, ensuring actions are captured and closed out effectively.
