Highland Homes is building a new, enterprise-scale capability to power its Digital Buying Experience and Online Design Center. We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to architect the foundational ML and data platforms that will drive advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and customer-facing applications. This is not a traditional data engineering role; we need a leader who can bridge the gap between complex data infrastructure and high-level business strategy.
In this position, you will lead technical initiatives to shape the organization's Modern ML & Data Platform. You will design scalable pipelines that move data from raw ingestion through the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) to deliver clean, ML-ready datasets. Beyond the code, you will act as a strategic partner to high-level directors and stakeholders, translating business requirements into robust engineering solutions. Success in this role requires strong business acumen and the ability to connect the dots between data capabilities and organizational goals.
This is a hybrid role based in Plano, TX, requiring 3 days onsite per week. The team culture values tenure and stability; we are looking for candidates who are committed to long-term growth rather than those who frequently jump between clients. You will be working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where experimentation is encouraged, but communication skills are paramount as you will interact regularly with onsite leadership and cross-functional teams.
Candidates must be open to interviewing onsite in Plano, TX. The process includes an initial screening followed by a second-round interview that is also conducted onsite. We are specifically looking for individuals with deep hands-on experience in Databricks, Python, and Medallion Architecture within an Azure environment. Please note that this is a 12+ month contract role requiring 10+ years of experience in Data & Analytics.
Highland Homes is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background.
