About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join our client's data center installation team. This role is critical for maintaining the integrity of low voltage systems and networking infrastructure within a fast-paced, high-security environment. The ideal candidate thrives on precision, ensuring that every cable, patch panel, and network device is installed and tested to the highest industry standards.
In this position, you will be the hands-on expert responsible for the physical layer of the network. Your day-to-day involves translating technical blueprints into reality, managing complex cable runs, and collaborating closely with engineers and electricians to execute seamless installations and upgrades. You will play a key part in keeping the data center operational by troubleshooting connectivity issues and maintaining rigorous safety and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleInstall, terminate, and test low voltage cabling including Cat5e/6/6A, fiber optics, and coaxial cables
- check_circleInstall and mount networking equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls in server racks
- check_circlePerform cable management, labeling, and patching adhering to established standards
- check_circleTroubleshoot and resolve issues with low voltage cabling and networking equipment
- check_circleRead and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- check_circleCollaborate with engineers and electricians to coordinate installations and upgrades
- check_circleMaintain accurate records of installations, updates, and repairs performed
Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma or equivalent
