The Data Center Technician - Mid supports day-to-day SEC data center operations under the SEC ISS2 contract. This role is critical for maintaining availability and reliability across SEC data center environments through the disciplined execution of moves, adds, changes, and documentation.
You will perform hands-on installation, configuration, logistics, and tracking activities for infrastructure and test equipment across the Primary Data Center (Manassas, VA), Alternate Data Center (Edison, NJ), SEC HQ (Washington, DC), and regional environments. Your work ensures resilient, well-documented, and auditable infrastructure services that directly support SEC operational objectives.
This is an on-site position requiring presence at SEC HQ, Manassas, VA, and Edison, NJ. The role involves participation in on-call and 24x7x365 surge or emergency response activities, with a potential two-hour response requirement based on operational needs. Travel may be required as directed by the contract.

Experience supporting federal IT infrastructure operations in a regulated environment. Familiarity with multi-site data center operations, including primary/alternate site support. Experience using ITSM/change-management workflows (e.g., ticketing, MAC tracking, operational handoffs). Working knowledge of data center capacity metrics and rack/power/cooling utilization reporting. CDCDP certification. ITIL 4 Foundation certification. CompTIA Server+ certification.
