About the Role
Cognito Systems LLC, a Resolution Think joint venture, is seeking a Data Analyst to provide technical and administrative program support to the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (GCERC). GCERC administers RESTORE Act funding to Gulf Coast states and federal partners for large ecosystem restoration projects addressing the effects of the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
In this role, you will work directly for the GCERC Programs Supervisor to support day-to-day data entry, records management, programmatic document development, and SharePoint data operations. You will serve as a key liaison between program staff and the records management contractor, ensuring compliance with NARA-approved records schedules. Your work will involve organizing documentation, developing standard operating procedures, and preparing bi-weekly status reports for the GCERC Director of Ecosystem Restoration Programs.
This is a full-time, on-site position located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the New Orleans area. Please note that this position is contingent upon the award of the underlying contract.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDevelop and prepare essential datasets for the COAST SharePoint site and perform quality control checks
- check_circleMaintain bi-weekly Records Management Tracking Spreadsheet to monitor progress toward requirements
- check_circleTrack completion of field site visits and issue timely reminders to program staff as needed
- check_circleSupport organization of documentation and assist with development of standard operating procedures
- check_circleTrack progress on staff assignments and provide weekly updates to the Programs Supervisor
- check_circleMonitor document development schedules and flag items approaching deadlines or at risk of delay
- check_circlePrepare and deliver bi-weekly status reports covering all active tasks, initiatives, and project plans
- check_circlePresent status reports to the GCERC Director and track resolution of open items during bi-weekly meetings
- check_circleServe as liaison between records management contractor and program staff to resolve compliance issues
- check_circleTake notes during staff calls, format them in standard office formats, and publish within 24 hours
- check_circleDraft, format, and finalize programmatic documents including reports, figures, and presentations
