Reporting to the Supervisor of Data Management in Behavioral Medicine, this Data Analyst serves as a critical bridge between research goals and technical execution. You will be accountable to the Principal Investigators of assigned research projects, ensuring that data infrastructure supports the rigorous demands of grant-funded studies.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Grant Research team to define requirements for customized computer systems. Your work involves designing and coding graphical user interfaces for local and remote data collection, creating database structures that adhere to normalization concepts, and implementing robust quality assurance protocols to maintain data integrity and confidentiality. You will also translate complex randomization procedures into code and provide technical training to research staff and data entry personnel.
Beyond system development, you will prepare datasets for statistical analysis, perform preliminary data reviews, and generate status reports for stakeholders. As data collection concludes, you will manage the archiving of finalized datasets to optimize network resources while ensuring all variables and scoring are preserved. This position requires staying current with technical advancements through seminars and professional literature to continuously enhance system performance and user productivity.
Candidates are invited to apply for this position at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. The role operates on a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
