About the Role
As a Cashier at Walgreens, you are the face of our brand, responsible for modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. You will be the first point of contact for customers, engaging them with courtesy, friendliness, and efficiency while registering sales and handling transactions on assigned cash registers.
Your day involves more than just processing payments; you will actively assist customers with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure a positive visit. You will share customer service best practices with your team, demonstrating key interpersonal habits like greeting customers, maintaining eye contact, and offering proactive help. From recommending items and trade-ups to managing inventory and maintaining clean, well-merchandised counters and shelves, you play a vital role in the store's operations.
You will also handle specialized tasks such as constructing displays, ensuring compliance with state laws regarding regulated products, and assisting with photo services and web pick-up responsibilities. By maintaining a neat and orderly store condition and adhering to all company policies, you help create a welcoming environment for everyone.
Hiring Process
We are looking for candidates who are fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and are willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. While six months of retail experience and prior work experience with Walgreens are preferred, we value your potential and dedication.
