About the Role
As a key member of our store team, you will model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Your primary mission is to engage customers and patients by greeting them warmly and offering assistance with products and services. You will serve as the face of the store, resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure every interaction leaves a positive impression.
In this role, you will register sales on assigned cash registers, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. Beyond the register, you will share customer service best practices with your team, demonstrating interpersonal habits like proactive help, identifying needs, and servicing until satisfaction. You will also handle web pick-up responsibilities, monitoring orders in Picture Care Plus and delivering them to customers as they arrive.
Day in the Life
Your day involves a blend of customer interaction and operational excellence. You will recommend items for sale, including trade-up and companion items, while maintaining clean and well-merchandised counters and shelves. You will construct and maintain displays, including promotional and seasonal structures, and assist with stock rotation using the first-in, first-out method.
You will also ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products and implement company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss. From assisting with the separation of food items to providing customer service in the photo area, your work supports the smooth operation of the store. You will also assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a neat and orderly store condition.
Hiring Process
Candidates must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) and be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours. We prefer candidates with six months of experience in a retail environment or prior work experience with Walgreens.
