About the Role
As a Customer Service team member in our Grocery department, you will be the face of the store, responsible for processing a wide variety of transactions including mail, Western Union orders, utility bills, and money orders. Your role is vital in maintaining a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to both customers and team members.
In this fast-paced environment, you will treat customers as the most important people in the store. Your day will involve greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and assisting them with everything from escorting them to products and securing items on high shelves to loading heavy goods. You will also handle specialized tasks such as weighing postal packages, selling hunting and fishing licenses, processing refunds, and managing lottery machines.
Beyond customer interactions, you will work closely with co-workers to ensure a pleasant work environment and adhere to strict guidelines regarding personal hygiene and dress. This position requires adaptability, as you may be called upon to assist at registers, handle dry cleaning orders, or support other areas of the store as needed.
Working Conditions
This role operates in a continuous environment exposed to dirt and noise. The pace is significant, requiring the ability to handle pressure while performing physical tasks such as lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
Note: Night and weekend shifts are required for this position.
