About the Role
As a Pay Station Clerk in our Grocery department, you are the face of the store during the checkout experience. Your primary mission is to provide prompt, efficient, and friendly service, treating every customer as the most important person in the store. Whether you are operating the cash register, managing the coffee service area, or bussing tables in the Hickory House or Market Grille, your goal is to enhance the shopping experience through caring, concern, and patience.
This role is a vital part of our team, requiring you to work closely with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment. You will be expected to greet customers warmly, learn their names, and address them personally whenever possible. From handling transactions and redeeming coupons to maintaining a clean and sanitary work area, your contributions directly impact the daily rhythm of our store.
Working Conditions & Schedule
Please note that this position requires availability for night and weekend shifts. The work environment is fast-paced and may involve exposure to temperature extremes, dampness, and cleaning chemicals. You will be operating various equipment, including cash registers, pallet jacks, and trash compactors, while adhering to strict safety and hygiene guidelines.
