Ben quickly decided to focus on music to better serve his customers—a decision that remains intact to this day. Since the 1990s, we have expanded nationwide through organic growth and acquisitions. In 2005, we joined forces with American Music to become the largest band and orchestra instrument retailer in the United States. Today, based in Frederick, MD, Music & Arts is part of the Guitar Center enterprise, comprising 225+ retail stores, 200+ educational representatives, and 250+ affiliate locations.

About the Role

As a Music & Arts ambassador, you will be the voice of our mission, handling incoming calls from individual customers, retail stores, and affiliates. Your day will involve navigating complex rental accounts, tuition questions, payoff quotes, and rental credits, while assisting with web purchases and sales. You will triage calls to ensure customers reach the right department and provide timely problem resolution through research and support tickets.

This role is more than just answering phones; it is about maintaining a friendly, professional, and welcoming attitude on every call. You will practice suggestive selling to promote our services and products, ensuring every interaction reflects the joy of music. We offer a unique "gig leave" for our musician teammates, allowing you to take time off to share your music with the world and return to your job after your tour.
