About the Role
As a Custodian, you play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and attractive physical plant for our school community. This full-time, 12-month position operates on a 2612H calendar, working from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing floors; washing windows and walls; and performing minor repairs and maintenance. You will also manage trash receptacles, inspect fire equipment, and secure the facility by locking and unlocking buildings as required.
Beyond the physical tasks, you will serve as a positive role model for students and a reliable partner to teachers and staff. You are expected to handle emergency custodial duties, report safety hazards promptly, and interact with the school community in a prompt, friendly, and professional manner. This role requires the ability to work in various conditions, including extreme temperatures, and to lift items up to 50 pounds safely.
