About the Role

As a Custodian, you play a vital role in maintaining the safety and cleanliness of our schools. You will be responsible for sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors and surfaces, as well as washing windows, walls, and equipment. Your day-to-day duties include emptying trash receptacles, performing minor repairs, replacing light bulbs, and moving furniture to meet facility needs. You will also inspect fire equipment, maintain inspection records, and promptly report any safety or security hazards to supervisors.

Beyond physical maintenance, you will serve as a positive role model for students and a reliable partner for staff. You are expected to respond to internal and external customers in a prompt, efficient, friendly, and patient manner. This position requires flexibility to adapt to changing needs and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You will handle emergency custodial duties as directed and ensure the facility is secured according to district policies.

Previous custodial experience is desired. Performance pay is available annually, and new hires may receive additional pay based on relevant experience or education, up to a maximum of 5%.
