About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Custodian for the Second Shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday–Friday) at Dallas High School. In this vital position, you will serve as the guardian of our school environment, ensuring that our buildings and grounds remain safe, clean, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors.
Working under the direct supervision of the Principal and the Director of Buildings & Grounds, you will play a key role in maintaining the functional condition of school facilities. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of interior and exterior duties, from deep-cleaning classrooms and restrooms to managing grounds-keeping tasks like snow removal and debris clearance. You will be the last line of defense for building security, securing the facility at the end of your shift and preparing it for the next day.
Beyond routine maintenance, you will be a supportive presence in the school community, assisting with special events, helping parents and visitors navigate the building, and ensuring supplies are delivered where needed. This role is essential to the daily rhythm of Dallas High School, providing the clean and orderly environment necessary for learning and growth.
