About the Role

The Credit Portfolio Manager I supports the Non-Profit and Education Commercial Borrowers within the Personal & Commercial Banking line of business. This role is part of a dedicated team of underwriters serving the Greater Mid-Atlantic geography. The portfolio includes a diverse range of social benefit organizations, such as social services agencies, cultural institutions, charitable and scientific organizations, membership associations, religious organizations, and schools.

In this position, you will act as a strategic partner to the commercial banking team. Your day-to-day involves gathering financial and business information for loan requests, performing complex financial analyses to drive credit decisions, and contributing to group loan decision processes. You will manage specific credit activities to ensure high performance quality and consistency, often working on larger, more complex Middle Market deals. Beyond analysis, you will serve as a consultant to business lines regarding credit issues, coordinate with Relationship Managers on routine financial investigations, and perform periodic site inspections to ensure adherence to loan agreements. This role offers the opportunity to lead initiatives, manage workflow production, and potentially lead a team of Credit Analysts.
