The Credit Portfolio Manager role is part of a dedicated team of underwriters supporting the Greater Mid-Atlantic geography. This team primarily serves Non-Profit and Education Commercial Borrowers, including social services agencies, cultural institutions, charitable and scientific organizations, membership associations, religious organizations, schools, and other social benefit organizations. The team works to foster deeper relationships, ensure disciplined execution, and build a simpler, faster banking experience.
As a Credit Portfolio Manager I, you will support the comprehensive underwriting of new and existing clients within the Non-Profit and Education sector. Your primary mission is to gather financial and general business information, perform critical financial analyses, and contribute to group loan decision processes by evaluating credit risk. You will act as a consultant to business lines regarding credit issues, processes, and procedures, while partnering with Lending and Credit Officers to address exceptions identified by auditors or examiners.
In this role, you will manage specific credit activities to ensure performance quality and consistency, working on larger, more complex deals focused on the Middle Market. You will coordinate with Account and Relationship Managers to perform routine financial analyses and credit investigations, and may be responsible for periodic site inspections to audit accounts and ensure adherence to loan agreements. The position offers the opportunity to lead initiatives, manage workflow production, and potentially lead a team of Credit Analysts within a region or market.
TD is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities and defining growth opportunities and skill development as key features of the colleague experience. We offer regular career, development, and performance conversations with your manager, access to an online learning platform, and a variety of mentoring programs to help you unlock future opportunities.
