The Corrections Oversight Worker serves as a vital link between operational efficiency and safety within a correctional facility. In this unique environment, you will supervise inmates to ensure meal and food items are prepared in strict accordance with production plans. Beyond food preparation, the role involves training workers in duty performance, assigning and coordinating tasks to optimize operations, and maintaining rigorous sanitation standards.
This position requires a balance of culinary oversight and security adherence. You will direct inmates in the use of recipes, ensure proper portioning and dietary requirements are met, and manage the secure storage of kitchen tools and keys. The role is dynamic; job duties may change or new ones may be assigned to meet business needs, requiring the ability to work independently with limited supervision while exercising good judgment and tact.
