The Copy/Distribution Center position serves as the operational backbone for Ponca City Public Schools, ensuring the smooth flow of district communications and materials. Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance/Treasurer, this role is essential for maintaining daily logistics, from processing U.S. mail to managing the district's fingerprinting services.
The position involves a blend of administrative support and physical distribution tasks. A typical day includes performing district copying and laminating, sorting incoming and outgoing mail, and distributing supplies and textbooks across schools. The role also carries the responsibility of managing the district's state-approved satellite fingerprinting facility, handling both district and community employment requirements once vetted.
To ensure continuity of services during health crises or disruptive situations that require building closures, this role may occasionally require remote work. Eligibility for remote arrangements is determined by the Superintendent of Schools based on specific operational needs.
This is a 12-month, nonexempt position working 8 hours per day from 7:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., exclusive of lunch. The schedule is designed to support the district's operational hours, though special arrangements may be made with supervisor approval if the situation warrants a variation in the contract day.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and have between three to six months of related experience or training. The role requires the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive hand movements, and possess the physical capacity to administer CPR if needed. Additionally, candidates must be vetted to manage the fingerprint center.
