As an ADA Driver/Outreach Worker within the Shelter Hotline Program, you will play a critical role in ensuring access to care for the most vulnerable members of our community. This position operates 365 days a year, providing essential transportation for homeless clients requiring wheelchair accessibility to and from shelters and approved program locations.
You will navigate the streets of Washington, D.C., during all weather conditions and varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Success in this role requires not only driving expertise but also the ability to interact sensitively and effectively with individuals from diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure clients reach their destinations safely and on time.
