About the Role
As a culinary team member at Sanford Health, you will play a vital role in nourishing patients, residents, staff, and visitors. Your mission is to prepare, assemble, and serve high-quality baked goods and meals that adhere to strict menu and dietary requirements. This position is essential for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, appearance, taste, and sanitation within a dynamic healthcare environment.
You will work closely with internal customers, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills. The role involves operating a wide range of kitchen equipment, from mixers and ovens to dishwashers and grills, while ensuring all food is prepared safely and efficiently. You will follow standardized recipes and Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines, documenting temperatures and outcomes to guarantee the safest food possible. Success in this role requires the ability to stand for the majority of the day, move throughout the facility, and thrive in a fast-paced, changing culinary setting.
Hiring Process
On-the-job training will be provided to help you succeed. Depending on your specific location, you may be required to obtain Serv Safe certification within a designated timeframe and fulfill annual continuing education requirements, including safety education and mandatory in-services. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may also be required based on location needs.
