ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER

About the Role

As an Assistant Manager at Jack in the Box, you will partner with the Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations, ensuring the effective execution of our Service Profit Chain and Brand Promise. Whether stepping in for the manager or leading the team independently, you are accountable for driving sales, protecting profitability, and maintaining strict compliance with all policies and regulatory requirements. This role is pivotal in creating a friendly, fun, clean, and safe environment where both employees and guests feel valued.

Day in the Life

Your day is defined by a balance of internal leadership and external guest focus. Internally, you will recruit, train, and develop team members, ensuring they are equipped to deliver on "My Promise to You." You will foster a culture of respect and high performance, utilizing data and management tools to analyze financial and operational trends while implementing action plans for improvement.

Externally, you serve as the face of the brand. You will monitor food quality and safety standards, interact directly with guests to resolve concerns, and ensure every visitor receives an exceptional experience. From managing staffing levels to conducting bank deposits and traveling to other locations, you will exercise discretion and independent judgment to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Application & Hiring Process

To be considered, candidates must meet specific qualifications, including a High School Diploma or G.E.D. (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred) and relevant experience as a Shift Leader or Assistant Manager. Successful applicants will be required to complete Assistant Manager training classes and obtain ServSafe certification. A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are necessary for bank deposits and travel.
