This position serves as a pivotal leader in restaurant operations, working in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. The role is dedicated to ensuring the effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and the Brand Promise, balancing the delivery of excellent internal and external service with the drive to build restaurant sales and profit. The incumbent acts as a steward of the Jack in the Box culture, fostering an environment that is friendly, fun, clean, and safe while treating all employees with care and respect.
Your day involves a dynamic blend of people leadership and operational excellence. You will recruit, train, and develop team members, ensuring systems for training are fully implemented and that talent is continuously nurtured for future growth. You will partner with the Restaurant Manager to analyze operational and financial performance, using data to identify trends and implement action plans that increase sales and profitability.
Externally, you will ensure guests receive an exceptional experience by holding the team accountable for consistent service and food quality. This includes maintaining visibility on the floor, responding to guest concerns professionally, and serving as a role model for the brand. You will navigate a fast-paced environment, making high-quality decisions based on policy and procedure while managing shifting priorities and maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
Candidates will be evaluated based on their ability to demonstrate passion for the business, integrity, and a commitment to the Service Profit Chain. The selection process looks for individuals who can effectively manage with honesty and trust, remain calm under pressure, and possess strong analytical and organizational skills. Successful candidates will be expected to complete Assistant Manager training classes and obtain ServSafe certification.
