The Retreat at Decatur is a community dedicated to providing exceptional hospitality and care. We are seeking dedicated Cooks to join our Food and Beverage team, ensuring that every meal meets our high standards of quality, quantity, and service.
About the Role
As a Cook, you will report directly to the Food and Beverage Director and play a vital role in the daily operations of our kitchen. Your primary mission is to manage all food preparation, ensuring that meals are prepared in accordance with approved Phoenix standardized recipes, production sheets, and strict sanitary procedures. You will be responsible for upholding federal, state, and local regulatory standards regarding food production and safety.
In this role, you will be expected to effectively manage food production in the absence of the Lead Cook or Director. Your day-to-day responsibilities include preparing meals and special dietary needs, including texture-modified foods, while monitoring temperature, taste, and quality guidelines. You will also maintain accurate records of equipment and food temperatures, manage inventory, and ensure the cleanliness of all work areas and dishwashing operations.
Shift Details
This position operates on a Mon-Fri schedule with a requirement to work every other weekend.
