About the Role
We are seeking a part-time aide to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to their specific dietary needs. You will prepare and serve food, including texture-modified and therapeutic diets, strictly adhering to the facility menu and nutritional orders.
Your day will involve managing food preparation in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as our internal policies. You will work closely with the Certified Dietary Manager, assisting dietary aides and, when directed, guiding other employees to ensure seamless operations. Attention to detail is essential as you follow time schedules for meal preparation and serving, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and accurately apply food tray card requirements.
Success in this position requires a professional demeanor and the ability to interact positively with residents, families, vendors, and staff. A general understanding of nutrition and knowledge of quantity food production and food safety standards are key to thriving in this environment.
