Building Controls & Services Inc. (BCS) is a member of the AIR Control Concepts family. Founded in 1985, we serve Kansas and Western Missouri with a focus on system efficiency and long-term cost control. Our team provides comprehensive HVAC and building automation solutions, including heating and air conditioning, energy management, and indoor air quality services.
The Controls Engineer III is a pivotal role designed to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of building automation systems, from design and programming to installation and customer training. You will serve as a technical resource for both our internal staff and our clients, ensuring that complex systems—from simple AHUs to large boiler/chiller plants—operate with precision and efficiency.
In this position, you will bridge the gap between engineering design and field execution. Your day-to-day involves creating system graphics, programming computer-based controls, and troubleshooting assigned jobs. You will work autonomously or alongside system specialists to perform point-to-point checkouts, verify sequences of operation, and ensure work quality meets our high standards. Beyond technical execution, you will foster strong relationships with end-users and decision-makers, providing onsite training and professional technical support to build lasting customer trust.
We are committed to finding the right fit for our team. While specific interview steps are coordinated by our recruiting team, candidates can expect a process that evaluates technical proficiency, problem-solving abilities, and cultural alignment with our mission of delivering superior building automation solutions.
