About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a local organization in the Liberty Lake area that has an immediate need for interim accounting support. Due to current bandwidth constraints and time-sensitive priorities, this role is designed for a high-performing professional who can step in quickly, own the work, and operate at a senior level.
While a Controller-level contractor is the top preference, we are open to a strong Senior Accountant or Cost Accountant capable of managing month-end close activities, financial reporting, and process improvements independently.
About the Role
In this interim capacity, you will serve as a critical resource for the finance team. You will lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reviews. A key focus will be performing balance sheet reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies, as well as supporting cost accounting and inventory analysis.
Beyond transactional duties, you will assist with financial reporting and variance analysis while helping to improve and document internal controls. This role requires a proactive approach to alleviate workload across the team and partner effectively with cross-functional groups, including operations, supply chain, and plant management.
