The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC DOHMH) is one of the largest public health agencies in the world. With an annual budget of $2.3 billion and over 7,000 employees, we serve 8 million New Yorkers from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. We tackle a broad range of public health issues with innovative policies and programs, ensuring exceptional results for our community.
This role is a grant-funded position scheduled to end in November 2027. While the selected candidate will be an employee of Public Health Solutions—a nonprofit organization serving as the fiscal and administrative manager of the grant—the work will be supervised directly by DOHMH.
The Division of Administration supports operations for the entire agency, including Human Resources, Facilities Planning, Operations, Occupational Health and Safety, and Worksite Wellness programs. The Deputy Commissioner's Office provides oversight and coordinates strategic priorities such as operationalizing racial and disability justice and achieving pay equity.
